William (Bill) Richard McClain, 56, passed away unexpectedly August 18, 2023, at Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.  He was born October 13, 1966 to Richard (Dick) and Tina (Northway) McClain in Des Moines, Iowa.  Bill grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Saydel High School.  Bill enjoyed cooking, stock car racing, bowling, drawing and spending time with his family.  He is preceded by his father, Richard McClain; his mom, Tina Vandermark; step-father, Art Vandermark; two brothers: Richard Wilson, Jr. and Jim McClain; his ex-wife, Michele Cosner; and his beloved cats: Max, Ruby and Fuzzy.

Bill is survived by four children: Bill McClain, Jr. (BJ), Lacey (Erich) Tews, Cassandra McClain (Jimbo) and Doug McClain; mother, Beth McClain; two granddaughters, Ruth and Marlee; one sister, Dawn (Jason) Henry; brothers, Matt Van Alstine and Andy (Katie) Van Alstine; ex-wife, Dawn Schaffer and a multitude of family and friends.
