William D. Burke Jr., 80, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday evening, November 25th, 2023 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas. William was born on December 11, 1942 to Staff Sergeant William D. Burke & Louise D. Burke in Levelland, Texas. After graduating from Springdale High School in 1962, he went on to study business at The Draughon's College of Business in Little Rock, Arkansas and later attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. After college, William landed his first job as an accountant for George's Poultry in Springdale, Arkansas, kicking off a 50-year career as an accountant and business owner for companies in Northwest Arkansas, including Schmieding Produce. In 1964, William met Carol Lynn West of Camden, Arkansas, and they wed in 1965, going on to have three children, Bill, Brad & Brian.

After retirement, William spent his time playing golf, sitting on the front porch and following the Arkansas Razorbacks & Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of Cross Church in Springdale, where Carol has worked for 36 years. William was predeceased by his father in 1944, his mother in 2004, his father-in-law Wayne West in 1993, his mother-in-law Hazel West in 2016 and his youngest brother Mike in 2022.

William is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol of the home, his brother Roger of Cave Springs, Arkansas, his three children Bill of St. Louis, Brad and his wife JoLynn of Kansas City, & Brian and his wife Erin of Springdale, and his ten grandchildren and their spouses Benjamin & wife Kaitlanne, Tyler, Douglas, Liam, Justin & wife Paige, Montana, Anna, Catie Lou, Shaun & Caroline.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M, Saturday, December 02, 2023 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be December 02, 2023 from 09:30 A.M. until service time. Pallbearers will be Benjamin Burke, Liam Burke, Montana Burke, Douglas Burke, Tyler Burke, Shawn Burke and Justine Burke.
