Virginia A Cox Markley, age 83 of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on June 14, 2019, at home.  She was born January 13, 1936 in Hobart, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Thurman and Ovie Cox.  She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening and her flowers but above all she loved her family and friends.  She married Kenneth Markley on January 7, 1955, in Louisville, Illinois.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and one daughter-in-law.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Markley, of 64 years, of the home; two sons: Dale Markley and wife, Joyce, and Kyle Markley, both of Springdale, Arkansas; one daughter: Cheri Wright and husband, Brian, of Branson, Missouri; three sisters: Nadine Cox, Marie (Ralph) Dennis, Erma (Jack) Keele; three brothers, John Cox, Delbert Cox and Vernon (Ruth) Cox; one brother-in-law, John Markley; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Pastor James Spears officiating.  Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2019, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
