Vickie Elizabeth Taylor, 62, of Lowell, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015. She was born February 22, 1953 in Bernice, Louisiana. For 39 years, Vickie and her family made their home in Taylor, Arkansas, where she was an elementary school teacher for 26 years and attended the First Baptist Church, where she was a member and also a Sunday School teacher. Vickie was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Lowell, where she moved two years ago to better serve as "Mimi/Nana" to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles Taylor, of Lowell; two daughters; Shannon Freshwater and her husband Dave, and Jennifer Benson and her husband Wayne; her mother Vivian Burden; two grandsons, Will Voigt and Charlie Benson; two granddaughters, Taylor Voigt and Kristin Bolton; two brothers, Tommy and David Burden; one nephew, Kasey Hanson and one niece, Sarah Hanson. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Burden.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, Arkansas with Bro. Randy Wilson officiating. Memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Taylor, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Dalton Allison, Douglas Collier, Bobby Jackson, Marvin Jackson, Ronnie Thomas, and Mike Whitehead.
