Steven Edward Johnson, 70, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord April 25, 2024 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He was born November 3, 1953, in Sherman, Texas, the son of the late Tom and Billie Ryon Johnson.  He was the current pastor at Sang Avenue Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas and had previously been the pastor at Silent Grove Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas for many years.  He enjoyed gardening, hiking, camping, singing, playing musical instruments and spending time with his family.

Steven is survived by his wife, Ramona Ketchum Johnson, of the home; one son, Seth Johnson, of Springdale, Arkansas; two daughters: Stephanie Johnson, of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Sarandy Westfall and husband Jeffrey, of Van Buren, Arkansas; three brothers: Mark Johnson and wife Girlie of Cambodia, Paul Johnson and wife Amy of Rogers, Arkansas, and Tim Johnson and wife Teresa of Centerton, Arkansas; one sister: Carole Gardner and husband Ray of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and one grandson, Gus Westfall.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Sang Avenue Baptist Church, 1425 N. Sang Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703.  Burial will follow at Silent Grove Cemetery, 4019 Silent Grove Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.  Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
