IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Pearl
Schoonmaker
August 20, 1936 – April 16, 2022
Our beloved mother, Sharon Pearl Schoonmaker, joined her maker on April 16, 2022.
Born on August 20, 1936, in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, to Dorothy and Joseph McIsaac, Sharon was the 3rd of 4 children. Sharon loved to dance, especially the jitterbug and was named the "Best Dancer" of her 1954 High School graduating class. She also loved to read, play cards and was an exceptional bowler and cook. We all have our faves, which include her pot roast, beef roll-ups, scalloped potatoes and ham and creamed cabbage (well, one daughter likes this one!). And she loved her music, especially Jim Nabors, Ray Price and Jim Reeves. As a working mom, Sharon was a bookkeeper and bartender, who also enjoyed a late career at the John Lynch auto dealership in Burlington, WI. She reminisced often about her work and the friendships she cherished there. She retired in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2005 to live close to her youngest daughter, Joni. Sharon had a great laugh, smile and the most beautiful hands (and handwriting) in the world. She lived life on her own terms, enjoyed her space, and people knew where they stood with her -- because she would tell them, especially when it was time to leave! Sharon was very proud of her 5 daughters, all of whom will miss her dearly. From her daughters - Our mom taught us to celebrate, dance and play and we do. We were especially blessed that, up until her last breath, our mom was still our mom with a memory rivalling any of ours. Sharon is predeceased by her 2 sisters and brothers in-law: JoAnn and Walt Goodwin, Pat and Gib Gibbons.
She is survived by her beloved brother and sister in-law, Jim and Judy McIsaac, 5 daughters, Debbie Weiler (Dennis), LuAnn Pascucci (Bill), Nancy Leone, Joni Harrel (Scott Phipps), Laura Corbett, Mark Corbett, 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Mitch, Adam, Marlena and Sara, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at her daughter Joni's home on Friday, April 22, from noon until 4pm Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
