Ruby Marie Fields, 98, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord March 12, 2020. She was born May 02, 1921 in Elm Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Stonewall Jackson and Nellie Stanley Woodell. Ruby was proud of playing basketball for the Elm Springs High School and was a graduate in the last graduating class for that school in 1939. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and picking up black walnuts. She had worked for Oberman Garment Factory in Fayetteville, Arkansas and was also a Beautician. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Fields; grandsons, Shelby Bumgarner, Joey Roso and granddaughter Rhonda Whitehead.

She is survived by her son, Warren Fields (Holly) of Rogers, Arkansas; daughters, Janice Jones of Moline, Illinois, and Darla Wootton of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Greg Fields (Giuliana), Kelly Eichler (Bobby), Andrea Whitehead, Bryan Whitehead (Kari), Jason Bumgarner (Becky), Danica Rogers (Dan); eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and her special friend, Claude (Junior) Fields.

Private burial was in Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
