Robert Carl Swanson, Jr., 52 of Springdale ascended to his new home in heaven on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Baylor University Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 4, 1964 in Fayetteville to Robert Carl Sr. and Doris Virginia "Ginger" Phipps Swanson.

He was the owner of Swanson's Welding, an avid golfer and member of the Professional Golfers Association of America. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Springdale.

He is preceded in death by half-brother Joshua and half-sister Rachel Sisk. Survivors include his wife, Ramona, of 13 years, son Jeremy, daughter Britany Caputo and husband John, step-daughters Jessica Lott and Laura Boyd, his father Robert and wife Linda, his mother Ginger and husband Paul, sister, Margaret Bandy, half-brother Michael, half-sister Tracy, one granddaughter, Brilana and 4 grandsons.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held 10am, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Friendship Church, 5395 East Robinson, Springdale, AR, with viewing beginning at 9am. Pastor Mike Sypult will officiate. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave. Springdale, AR. Pallbearers will be Justin Boyd, TJ Cannady, Ed Doss, James Doss, Willie Lott and Payden Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home 10 Remington Drive, Little Rock, AR 72204.
