Richard George Wissinger, 85, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord April 11, 2022.  He was born March 15, 1937, in Marion Center, Pennsylvania, the son of Harry and Martha Burkett Wissinger.  He had worked as a mechanic for American Airlines and served in the United States Marine Corp.  He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Heather Ridge Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He enjoyed playing the piano, making jewelry, fishing and hunting.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded by one sister and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Wissinger, of the home; three sons: Michael Wissinger and Laurie, of Texas, John Wissinger and Lisa of Maryland and Jared Wissinger and Kaycee of Springdale, Arkansas;  four daughters: Amy Slagle and Randy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jenny Wissinger of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Jody Vaughan and Robert of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Jacki Morrison and Jeff of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters: Mary Sue Brady of Indiana, Pennsylvania and Ruth Wissinger of DuBois, Pennsylvania; seventeen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Reverend Shane Peters officiating.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. until service time. Burial will be at later date.
