Richard Thomas "Tom" Herring, 67, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord January 03, 2019. He was born March 13, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the son of Eugene and Eileen Homan Herring. Tom was a member of Fellowship N.W.A church in Rogers. He was a graduate of St. Anne's High School in Fort Smith. He had retired from the 188th Wing, Air Nation Guard, and from the Arkansas State Military Department, Ebbings Air Force Base, Fort Smith. Tom was a father to many international students and he enjoyed spending time in the woods with his identical twin brother, Tim.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Smith Herring; brothers, Joseph Herring of Dewey, Arizona, Tim Herring and his wife Vira of Rudy, Arkansas; sister, Linda Wiederkehr and her husband Al of Altus, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the Family Center of Fellowship N.W.A, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758. Tom's wishes were to have his body donated to University of Arkansas Medical Science. Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762. The family request memorials be made to Fellowship N.W.A.
