Ralph Eugene "Gene" Simpson, 77, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord November 02, 2021. He was born March 12, 1944 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the son of the late Reverend Ralph Ellis and Geraldine DeBoard Simpson. Gene had served in the United States Navy. He attended Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers. He worked as a machinist at Paul's Machine shop and enjoyed fishing, camping, walking his German Shepherd "Maggie" and in his younger years enjoyed motorcycles. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Gene his survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane Simpson of the home to whom he married October 25, 1974; children, Shawna Teal of Springdale, Arkansas, Jesse Simpson (Mary Beth) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brothers, Paul Simpson (Kathy) of Springdale, Arkansas, Doug Simpson (Linda) of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Layla Simpson, Jesse Simpson, Eli Simpson, Josie Teal and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762, with Reverend Charlie Brown officiating.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.
