Michael Thomas Smith, 59, of Bentonville, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord June 20, 2022.  He was born August 4, 1962, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the son of Norbert and Bernice Peitz Smith. He worked in sales for Shearer Supply Company and was of the Christian faith.  Michael was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed camping, fishing and kayaking and was a huge Razorback fan.  He is preceded by his father and a brother-in-law, Tom Herring.

Michael is survived by his mother, Bernice Smith, of Springdale, Arkansas; one son, Andrew Smith, of Rogers, Arkansas; four brothers: David Smith (Lisa) of Long Beach, California; Steve Smith (Pam) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Donald Smith (Becky) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Dennis Smith (Chellie) of Cave Springs, Arkansas;  four sisters: Barbara Herring of Springdale, Arkansas; Brenda McGann (John) of Los Angles, California; Judy Vosburg (Jack) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Diane Selby (Greg) of Cordova, Tennessee; his girlfriend, Kristin Williams Armstrong, and her family of Hackett, Arkansas; and many nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces.

A Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 27, 2022, at Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas (Rogers Campus) with Pastor Mark Schatzman officiating.  Memorials may be made to Grace Point Global Adventure Scholarship, 1201 McCollum Drive, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
