With heavy hearts, we share and celebrate the life of Michael Dale Russell, 48, who passed away on April 27, 2026. Michael was born in Springdale, AR on January 3, 1978, to Ivan and Dee (Lewis) Russell. He married Dana (Messmer) Russell on September 5, 1998, and they had three children, Mikayla Marie (24), Ashlynn Danae (22) and Clayton Michael (16). He lived his life with his children and wife at the forefront and spent much of his time with the family around town at Clayton’s sporting events, antique stores, and plant nurseries.

Michael spent the last 15 years working in HVAC with his lifelong best friends at Doyle’s Heating and Cooling. He had a love of cars and a talent for auto upholstery. In the past several years, he developed a passion for saltwater reef tanks, horticulture, and trying out new recipes on his Traeger grill.

He is survived by his father, Ivan, his brother, Brian and Monica, his in-laws Ron & Sherry Messmer, his sister-in-law Amanda, along with several aunts – Jana, Donna & Cindy, uncles – Delphard & Bill, cousins, nephew Brandon, and two nieces Mya & Brooklynn, many friends and his grand-pets – Peaches, Daisy, Malibu.

A memorial/visitation will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 3936 Willowood Ave., Springdale, AR 72762. The family requests memorials in his name be made to https://coral.org/en/ for the global protection of coral reefs or the American Heart Association.
