Michael "Mikie" Dean Reynolds was born October 2nd of 1968 and went home with his Lord and Creator at the age of 52 on September 14th, 2021. He was the son of the late Thomas Michael Reynolds and Debra Lynnette Shatwell Demmitt. He was born in Ozark, AR and attended London Elementary, Russellville Middle School and Jr. High, and Lamar High School. He later received certification at SAU in water management.
He met his adoring wife-to-be, Kyla Jon Higgins, in the spring of 1985 and Mikie and Kyla wed on Saturday, August 9th, 1986 in Lamar, AR. They celebrated 35 years of love this year. He also left behind siblings, Carrie Childers and Joann Demmitt both of London, AR; brothers John Reynolds of Coal Hill, AR and Joseph Reynolds, of Hunt, AR; Marty Demmitt of Hot Springs, AR; and step parents Red Demmitt and JoAnn Hunt. Mikie started working at a very young age in the hay fields, operating heavy equipment, then went on to work for Walt-Mart, Sugar Creek Foods, National Lumber to name a few, but he finally found a home with Childers Brothers Trucking. He started in October of 1987 and when he left this earth he had put in 34 yrs of service with the company and had the title of Operations manager of Custom Wood Recycling. He leaves behind a wonderful and loving work family who will miss him dearly as he loved them as family.
His life was his family, but he also enjoyed motorcycling "ride to eat, eat to ride", the water, the beach, live music, working hard and helping others. He enjoyed finding good food and was known for being a great tipper. Later in life he enjoyed napping to reality TV. He loved his canine boys, "Duke and Rascal", his feline fur babies, "Edward and Iggabell", and had many wonderful fur babies through the years who knew he was the Alpha of the house and adored him. He also leaves behind grand fur babies, Scout, Madden, Sammy and Gus.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to BACA Flat Rock Chapter, your favorite animal shelter or the Gideons International.
