Melvin V. Mounce, Sr. 85 of Springdale went home to our Lord, July 7, 2025 at Circle of Life in Springdale. He was born April 26, 1940 in Springdale the son of John and Maudie Henson Mounce. Melvin married Lois Jean Davis on 1958, they had 3 children, Debbie Cornelison, Melvin Mounce, Jr. and Joey Mounce. After Lois's passing Melvin married Betty Langford, who had two daughters, Tina Ames and Debbie Harp. With all the family together, Melvin had 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

According to family, Melvin had a special connection with granddaughter, Jeany Lois. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Lois Jean Mounce, grandson, Jesse Ryan Mounce, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Melvin and Betty loved to play Dominoes at Springdale Senior Center; where they made many friends. He was a member of Calvary Church in Springdale. He loved the church family and pastor. God blessed Melvin with a good life, and he loved his family. He was a tough Love kind of dad, but always in a loving way. Melvin would make sure to solve all family members problems, whether they needed advice, or not. Thank you, Betty for being his loving wife. He left us a great legacy; we're all proud to call Melvin Mounce our dad. Love you Dad, till we meet again. Heaven's gain, but our loss….

Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Monday, July 14, 2025 at the pavilion (which he built) at Hickory Creek Cemetery. Burial will follow in Hickory Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 2 to 4PM.
