Matthew Don Abbott, 39, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord August 28, 2021 in Springdale, Arkansas.  He was born September 15, 1981, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Larry and Theresa Siegel Abbott.  He had worked as a chef at many restaurants and attended Home Church and Journey Church in Russellville, Arkansas.  He enjoyed playing soccer, golf, going fishing and boating and woodworking.  He was preceded by his Mother.

Matthew is survived by his father, Larry Abbott, of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, Brian Abbott, of Springdale, Arkansas; an uncle and aunt, Johnny and Lynn Abbott, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three cousins: Jennifer Cummings of Moore, Oklahoma, Jamie Dorscher of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Julie Greenlee of Moore, Oklahoma; and his step-father, Aubrey Garrett, of Farmington, Arkansas.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.  Service arrangements are pending.
