Marva Lee Taylor, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on May 6, 2026. She was born in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Ortha Mae and Milton Lee Martin on June 18, 1942. Marva lived a simple and genuine life centered on the people she loved most. Nothing brought her more joy than having her family gathered together, especially around the table she lovingly prepared each Sunday. Some favorites include her roast and potatoes, meat loaf, and her strawberry cake. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She kept everyone together. Would always call to check in on everyone and reminded her family that no matter how busy life became, they always belonged together. Marva enjoyed watching cooking shows, game shows, and her “stories,” and she especially loved sitting around the table playing cards with family and friends. For her, card games were never really about winning; they were about laughter, conversation, and being together. One of her favorite traditions was the monthly sister dinners with “the girls,” where stories were shared, memories were made. Marva always made people feel at home. To many, she was simply “Grandma,” whether related by blood or not. Marva carried that kind of spirit, she was welcoming, full of love and everything.
Marva was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Albert Taylor; and her son, Ricky Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Camie Taber of Hindsville, Arkansas, Arlinda Beach of Centerton, Arkansas, Jeana Young and husband, David, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brother Eddie Martin of Springdale, Arkansas; nephew, Eddie Martin Jr. and wife, April, of Houston, Texas; and many other family, friends, and loved ones.
