Marie Barnes, age 98, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2016 in Springdale. She was born September 8, 1917, in Lowell, Arkansas, the daughter of Walter J. Thompson and Margaret Elizabeth Shockley. She was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alvin Terry and Glenn Barnes, a daughter, Carolyn Goff and a son, Donald Terry.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Fowler of Fayetteville, sister, Dorothy Zachary of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren, Donna Rhodes, Karen Wilcher, Brian Terry, William Goff, David Goff, Richard Goff and many great and great-great grandchildren, and also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time at Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
