Luther Aaron Scruggs, 88, of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with the Lord November 5, 2020. He was born March 18, 1932, in Springdale, Arkansas, the son of the late James W. and Georgia Burgett Scruggs.  His primary mission in life was a proclaimer of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He was a Missionary Baptist pastor/minister for almost 60 years and had pastored 12 churches in 3 different states. He was most recently a member of the Springdale Missionary Baptist Church.

He enjoyed working on antique cars, gardening, yard work, going to yard sales and auctions, collecting and working on old radios and Victrola record players, and refinishing antique furniture. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his first wife of 63 years, Genevieve, and his second wife of 5 years, Patricia; 3 brothers: Thurman Scruggs, Doil Scruggs and Dorce Scruggs; 2 sisters: Willa Belle Miller and Janie Wilkerson; step-son, Brian Samuelson and great grandson, Chace Scruggs.

He is survived by his son, Kennith Scruggs (Sharon) of Springdale, Arkansas; his daughter, Judy Isbell (Chris) of Humnoke, Arkansas; his step-daughter, Patrice Glur (Jeff) of Lowell, Arkansas: and his step daughter-in-law, Virginia Samuelson of Cave Springs, Arkansas.  Additionally, he is survived by 4 grandchildren: James Scruggs (Cindy), Leslie Demers (Bob), Whitney Jones (Jeremy) and Mark Isbell (Marda); 8 great grandchildren: Kaylee, Jackson, Madi, Mo, Harrison, Alayna, Sam and Nora; and 1 great-great granddaughter, Harper.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas, 72762, with Pastor Wes Hulvey officiating.  Private family burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
