Linda Kay Parker died Friday, March 26, 2021 in Springdale, AR. She was born on September 9, 1950 to parents Harold H. Parker and Virginia Hutchinson Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her younger brother Mark A. Parker. Linda graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1968 and the University of Arkansas in 1974. She taught at Gentry Elementary School from 1975-1978 and Springdale Public Schools from 1978-2013 at Lee Elementary & Smith Elementary. She retired after 28 ½ years of teaching. She received 7 national awards and 1 Arkansas award for writing and teaching economics. She was a member of Springdale Christian Church where she played piano every Sunday morning. Her greatest accomplishment in life was adopting and raising her son, Clayton. She will be remembered for her strong faith, her sharp wit, and her love of bacon.

She is survived by her son Clayton Parker, her brother Harold Parker, her nephew Micky Parker, and her nieces Kelli Parker and Andrea Harris (Husband Brian, sons Brandon & Gage).

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 30 ^th , 2021 at Springdale Christian Church at 714 W. Huntsville Ave. Springdale, AR. In lieu of flowers please send donations to CUP Ministry c/o Springdale Christian Church P.O. Box 7869 Springdale, AR 72766.
