Leah Sharon (Kendrick) Hale, 85 passed away at her home of 54 years on Monday, June 9, 2025. She was born in Springdale AR on November 21, 1939 the daughter of Robert and Grace Smith Kendrick
She worked for Cash Jewelry for many years before she used her training as a Nurse for North West Urology Clinic and then on to Northwest AR clinic for families. She loved to count Hawks on road trips Counted over 300 coming back from Texas on trip. She would always point out Airplanes in the sky but never wanted to go on one, also really liked to go camping and had her favorite spots on Beaver Lake. Also, enjoyed craft fairs & flea markets, enjoyed planting flowers and always had nice flower pots around the yard.
She loved to pick up her grandkids from school. Always wanted to be the first in line. Would show up an hour early to be the first in line. One time, someone beat her in line, so the next day, she showed up 2 hours early to be the first in line. Would set there and read her books while she waited for the bell to ring. She loved to read and was a Loving, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a big Elvis Fan and a Garth Brooks fan and was able to see both of them perform live
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack Eugene Hale who she married on July 20th 1962; children, Zane Brent Hale of Springdale, Spencer Blake Hale of Springdale; sister, Sonja (Kendrick) Daniel and husband, Leroy; grandchildren, Rhett Mounce, Riley Mounce, Carter Hale, Emily Hale, Bryar Hale, Ledger Hale and a great grandchild, Forest Mounce.
Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Friday, June 13, 2025 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM on Thursday in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home.
