Lawrence Orr Day, Jr., age 90, of Springdale, died
December 10, 2015 at Washington Regional Medical
Center in Fayetteville. He was born November 4, 1925,
in Black Fork, Arkansas, the son of Lawrence O. Day, Sr.
and Jessie Morrison Day. He was of the Baptist faith
and was retired from the United States Post Office
where he worked as a letter carrier. Mr. Day served
in the United States Navy. He had many hobbies
including doing research on many different things.
Mr. Day is survived by his wife of 65 ½ years,
Sarah Mitchell Day, of the home; two sons:
Daniel Day of Springdale and Don C. Day and his wife,
Deanna, of Bentonville; Lois Day, mother of Amanda
and Jeremy, of Cave Springs; two brothers: Herbert J. Day
of Springdale and Charles Day of California; two grandchildren:
Amanda Coley and Jeremy Day; and three great grandchildren:
Wyatt Cypert, Lillie Baker and Carter Day.
It was Mr. Day's wishes for his body to be donated
to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
There will not be any funeral services.
