IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kristy
Casamayor
June 9, 1976 – November 24, 2024
Kristy Casamayor, 48, of Springdale, Arkansas was born June 09, 1976 in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of Enrique and Alexis Broderson Casamayor. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kristy Casamayor, a gifted and passionate artist, on November 24th, 2024. Kristy's life was defined by her boundless creativity, her love for the arts, and her love for her friends and family. She was the eldest of 5 children. She was smart, independent, and creative from a very early age. Realizing a love for the arts at an early age, she studied fine arts and ceramics at both the University of Arkansas and University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Kristy graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Her artistic journey was one of exploration, and creativity often greatly influenced by her travels, nature and animals.
Beyond her artistry her life was also defined by her love for her friends, family, animals, music, and gardening. Her love of rescue pets and gardening were an extension of her nurturing spirit, where she found peace and joy. But perhaps one of Kristy's most defining qualities was her role as a devoted and loyal friend. She had an innate gift for listening, offering support, and sharing a laugh at just the right moment.
She is preceded in death by her father Enrique Casamayor, Grandmother Julia Casamayor, and Grandfather Gonzalo Casamayor. She is survived by her mother Alexis Broderson, brother Henry Casamayor and his wife Amanda , her brother Steven Casamayor, and her sisters Angelica Casamayor- Teague and Kathleen Casamayor. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces Ian Casamayor, Sophia Casamayor, Caleb Casamayor, Brantley Casamayor, Judson Teague and Sloane Teague. Additionally, she is survived by a robust group of loving friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on November 29, 2024 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home.
