Kenneth James Ward, Jr., 66, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord January 28, 2021 in Springdale.  He was born September 21, 1954, in Millington, Tennessee, the son of Kenneth James Ward, Sr. and Peggy Rogers Ward.  He was retired from the University of Arkansas Poultry Farm and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed fishing, painting, gardening, cooking, drawing pictures, and wood carving.  He is preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Renita Smith Ward, of the home; his mother, Peggy Ward, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three sons: Jeremy Smith, Matthew Ward and Nicholas Ward all of Springdale; one brother, Sam Ward (Heather), of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three sisters: Pam Compton (Larry) of Farmington, Arkansas; Lisa Davis (Richard) of Yates Center, Kansas and Karen Carnes (Tony) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Percephony Smith and Jeremiah Smith; a host of nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Chocolate.

A memorial service will be at 3:30 P.M. February 3, 2021 at Mission Blvd. Baptist Church ( Mission Blvd Baptist Church ) 2006 E. Mission Blvd., Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
