Kenneth E. Markley, age 86 of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on May 7, 2024, at home. He was born July 29, 1937, in Farina, Illinois, the son of the late Merle and Olive Markley. "Kenny" had a long and distinguished career as a truck driver, winning many awards for his truck driving skills. He was also a member of an elite group of drivers logging more than 5 million accident-free miles. He married Virginia Cox on January 7, 1955, in Louisville, Illinois. Kenny was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, two brothers, one sister and daughter-in-law Marsha. He is survived by two sons: Dale Markley and wife, Joyce, and Kyle Markley, both of Springdale, Arkansas; one daughter: Cheri Wright and husband, Brian, of Branson, Missouri; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Pastors James Spears and Danny Spears will officiate. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2024, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
