Kenneth Dudley Humphreys, 95, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord November 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born July 1, 1926, in Olney, Texas, the son of the late Oren and Jewel Dudley Humphreys.  He graduated high school from Missouri City, Texas and joined the United States Navy in 1944 at the age of 17.   He served in the Navy for 23 years spending many years at sea on numerous different ships.  After retiring from the Navy, he worked for 13 years at the VA Hospital and spent the next 13 years as a bus driver for the Springdale School System.  He enjoyed playing golf and pickleball and watching the deer in the front yard and was a member of Berry Street Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his wife of 55 years, Imogene Humphreys, in 2016 and one granddaughter, Amy McCoy.

Mr. Humphreys is survived by three daughters: Debbie Matney and her husband, Pat, of Rogers, Arkansas; Karen Meleo and her husband, Frank, of Redondo Beach, California; and Rita McCoy and her husband, Jerry, of Springdale, Arkansas; one sister, Pattie Shinn, of Huntsville, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Renee Holmes, Leslie Daniels, Trisha George, Kimberly Meleo, Kristina Meleo and Zack Hall; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Friendship Cemetery with Reverend Richard Perry officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.  There will not be a visitation due to Mr. Humphreys request.  Memorials may be made to Berry Street Baptist Church, 320 Berry Street, Springdale, Arkansas 72764.
