John Glenn Powell was born December 15, 1968 in South Hill, VA to Joan Moore and John W. Powell, he returned to God on January 2, 2025 in Springdale, AR. Working at various occupations through the years, he was a Christian, and believed in living his life on his own terms, never falling into a conventional lifestyle. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carl E. Myers, left to mourn his passing are brothers, Wesley W. Powell of Hopewell, VA and Randy (Debbie) Myers of Rogers, AR. Additional family includes nieces and nephews, Jessica (Halley) Fritts, Chris Myers, Cory (Melanie) Myers and Casey (Jillian) Myers, along with four great nieces and a great-great niece and nephew, several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
He had a family who cared deeply for him and he will truly be missed. We take great joy in knowing he is completely healed and in the loving arms of Jesus and is once again reunited with his mother, who adored him and lovingly called him 'John John'.
Cremation services provided by Memorial Funeral Home, Springdale, AR.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date where he will join many family members who have been interred in Wilson Cemetery, Springdale, AR.
