John Warren Hollowell, 83, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord May 26, 2021 at Willard Walker Hospice house. He was born June 15, 1937 in Huntsville Arkansas, the son of the late Earnest and Florence Hammons Hollowell. He retired from Superior Wheel Company where he worked as a machine operator, had served in the United States Navy and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Elm Springs, Arkansas. John enjoyed growing tomatoes, fishing, was a huge Razorback fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by one infant son, James Russell Hollowell, and a brother, James Hollowell.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ollie Guess Hollowell, of the home; one son, Randy Hollowell and his wife, Debbie; four grandchildren: Zack Hollowell (Katie); Cole Hollowell (Whitney); Kevin Severs (Nicky) and Derek Severs (Lindsey Matthews); three great grandchildren: William Hollowell, Everett Hollowell and Charlee Grace Hollowell; two sisters: Lorene Ingram and Anna H. Davis; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Faith Baptist Church, 217 South Elm Springs Road, Springdale, Arkansas, with Reverend Gary Jewell and Phillip Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow Elm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Severs, Zack Hollowell, Cole Hollowell, Derek Severs, Mark Hutcheson and Jeff Hutcheson. Honorary pall bearers will be Donald Bradshaw, Alvin Dale Fields, Danny West, David West, Brian Dover and Bobby Guess. The family request that memorials be made to Willard Walker Hospice House, 325 E. Longview Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
