Joe Paul Smith, 56, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away September 9, 2020 in Bentonville.  He was born October 5, 1963, in Dumas, Arkansas, the son of the late William Elijah and Lillian Lorene Swinford Smith.  He was of the Baptist faith and was a receivable auditor for J.B. Hunt for 31 years.  He enjoyed reading comics, watching movies and traveling.  He was a big Star Trek fan and loved the Razorbacks.  He is also preceded by one brother.

He is survived by two sisters and a host of friends including Tony Baker, Beth Clark, Ted and Susan Jordan, Debbie Archer, Nikki Bowerman, Robert Emerson, his J.B. Hunt family, his Malco family and his cat, Kiki.

A memorial service will be at a later date.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
