Jobelle "Jody" Preece, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on December 12, 2025. She was born September 14, 1947 in Springdale, Arkansas to the late Joseph and Virginia George. Jody dedicated over 27 years as a secretary for the University of Arkansas. It was not uncommon for her to work long hours, sometimes working 60 hours a week to help the students. She was very compassionate, and hospitable at heart. Jody took great joy in opening her home to others, welcoming friends and family with warmth and kindness. In quieter moments, Jody could often be found reading with her beloved cat, Miss Maggy, by her side. Their companionship brought her comfort and joy.  Jody was a big fan of the Razorbacks and she would rarely miss a basketball game. Above all, Jody was a woman of faith. As a Christian, her beliefs guided the way she lived.

Jody was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Preece. She is survived by her son, Brian Preece of Springdale, Arkansas, and grandsons, Peyton Preece and Keaton Preece.
