Jeffrey Lee Bates born June 18, 1962, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2022.  He was born on June 18, 1962.  Jeffrey was preceded in death by parents; John and Effie Bates; three brothers, William Bates, Maynard Bates and Donnie Bates; son, Christopher Bates; grandson, Bryce Matthew McGaugh.

Jeffrey is survived by wife, Paula Bates; sons, Kevin Bates, Matthew Bates, Jeffery Columbo and Jake; daughter, Erica McGaugh; brothers, Kenneth Bates, Ronald Bates and Glen Bates; sisters, Margaret Fancher, Mildred Reed, Carolyn Boone and Chris Nevendorfer; five grandchildren, Maddox McGaugh, Macy McGaugh, Mabree McGaugh, Lexie Bates and Matthew Bates Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
