IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ingrid Sophie
Wilson
July 19, 1946 – August 14, 2023
Ingrid Sophie Wilson, age 77 of Springdale, AR, passed from this Earth on August 14, 2023, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale after a valiant four-year battle with cancer. Although her body became weak, her spirit remained strong; even during the hardest of times. She was truly the epitome of strength. She was born on July 19, 1946, in Ingelheim, Germany, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Wahl Hassler. After meeting the love of her life, Donald, while he was stationed in Germany, she moved to the United States. At that time, she became the Daughter-in-Love to Claude and Clara Wilson.
She retired after over 30 years of managing at the Colony Square (AQ) Apartments in Springdale. During that time, she became "mom" to many kids, watched a lot of backyard games, and volunteered at many school functions. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching ball games, and at the lake.
She was a loving wife, mom and Oma. She was preceded in death by her parents and Parents-in-Love, and by her husband of 51 years, Donald. She was also preceded by her sister, Rosa Evans, and two Brothers-in-Love, Robert Wilson and Fred Wilson.
Ingrid is survived by her son Larry Wilson and wife Debby of Lowell, daughter Susan Jordan and husband Ted of Lowell, daughter Michelle Wilson and partner Bobby Toney of Elkins, Cabrin Edgar of the home, and Buddy Wilson and wife Margaret of Rosharon, Texas. She is also survived by one brother, Gunther Hassler of Ingelheim, Germany, one sister, Renate Gaudron of Bingen, Germany, and three Sisters-in-Love, Glenda McBay, Pauline Dority and Debbie Wilson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members she loved. She is also survived by her beloved companion, Daisy, who brought her so much joy and laughter when she needed it the most.
Visitation will be at noon on Friday, August 18, 2023, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale, AR.
