Henry Huckeba, 88, of Fayetteville, Arkansas went to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 6th, 2021. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born January 29th, 1933 in rural Carroll County, Georgia, to Hoyt and Josie Huckeba, and was the 4th of 11 children. Henry had served in the United States Army. He dedicated his life to the Lord and was a gospel preacher for almost 60 years, serving churches in Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas. He leaves a legacy of love, generosity, and faithfulness that will be cherished by his family. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Earlene, his parents, brothers Grover, Harold, Floyd, and W.L., and sisters Leone and Flora.
He is survived by 4 sisters-Frances Entrekin, Dot Morris, Rachel Taylor, and Reba Gandy: 3 children-Ronnie and Peggy Huckeba, Don and Tammy Huckeba, Lisa and Tim Cook: 6 grandchildren-Hope and John Ballentine, Jeb and Jami Huckeba, Jordan and Sarah Huckeba, Holly Huckeba, Jared and Nikki Cook, Kreg Cook, and 12 great-grandchildren. The family is very grateful to the staff of the V.A. medical center in Fayetteville for the wonderful care that he received over the years, and to Edgewood Health and Rehab in Springdale for taking such good care of him during his final days.
There will be no public services due to the pandemic. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Memorials may be made to Harding University and to Georgia Agape.
