Jody Mills, passed away at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale in the early afternoon of November 30, 2021.  She was born Helen Joann Mills at Brentwood, Arkansas on November 8, 1935 the daughter of the late Rufus and Pauline Mills.  She graduated from Springdale High School and worked for a number of companies in Springdale and Rogers.  She finished her work life at AG Russell's.  Jody appreciated and enjoyed Native American art and traveled through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona visiting galleries and the artists she so appreciated.  An avid reader, Jody left books and book cases to the newly formed library at Apple Blossom, her home in Rogers.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded by siblings Glenn Mills, Ione Mills Duncan, Bob Mills and Bill Mills.

She is survived by her niece, Chonita I. Pool (husband Campbell) of Springdale and nephew James E. Duncan (wife Sharon Donnelly) of Fayetteville; grandnephews George Gilkey (wife Stacey) and Grant Gilkey (wife Julie); grandniece Gwyneth Marchanti; and a younger generation of nephews and nieces.

Jody's ashes will be interred in Brentwood Cemetery during a family gathering.  We will miss her but will always appreciate her independent spirit.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
