Harry Richard Preece, 77 of Springdale passed Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Springdale. He was born June 29, 1947 in Frederick, Mayland the son of Harry Preece and Hannah Baird. He was employed as a parts salesman for GM dealerships in the area. He was a Little League umpire for many years, and also a teacher and deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He was an assistant Scout Master of Troop 444 and served in US Army. He married the former Jody Washburn on June 17, 1967.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Jody Preece of the home; son, Brian Preece of Springdale and two grandsons, Payton and Keaton Preece.

Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at 12:30PM in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM on Tuesday at the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home. Services entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale, AR.
