H. Wayne McNeely, 73, of Springdale passed away in his home Sunday, March 15, 2020. Wayne was born November 12, 1946 in Springdale, Arkansas to the late Harold and Betty (Jones) McNeely. Wayne lived the majority of his life in Springdale. Wayne was drafted into the Army and served in Europe right out of high school. Upon returning home he worked and managed Collin's Grocery and also worked for Skelton Brothers and B&M Ice Company. He owned land, cattle, and also was a licensed electrician. He assisted in the building of many homes and buildings in the area. For 20 years from 1985 to 2005 he was the co-owner of Shirley's in Springdale. Wayne was also a member of the Friendship Cemetery Board of Springdale.
Wayne had many friends, and always said he lived for them. The best part of his day was visiting with his friends, who were also family to him. He was always willing to help those in need, and over the past two years he has been repaid many times over.

He is survived by his dear friend Janet Reed of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; his sisters, Janis Hutchens (Phil Miller), of Spring, Texas, Linda Hipes (Blaine), of Mt. Home, Arkansas, Sherri Porter of Nashville, Tennessee, and his brother, Bruce McNeely (Debbie) of McKinney, Texas; and 9 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A gathering to celebrate his life with all of his friends and family will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
