George Edward Bailey, 85-year-old resident of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on October 26, 2025. He was born March 8, 1940 in San Diego, California to the late Walter and Myrtle Williams-Bailey. George attended New Hope school in Mt. Holy, Arkansas. After high school, he worked at a saw mill in Little Rock, and then he worked at Coca-Cola until retirement. George shared his life with the love of his life, Velma Lee Ramey, spending over 40 wonderful years together. He had a calm and steady nature, with an appreciation for the small moments in life. In his free time, George loved to go fishing, hunting, working on old cars, and taking drives to visit family and friends. Sitting around with a cup of coffee and some conversation was enough to make anyone feel like an old friend.

George was preceded in death by Velma Lee Ramey; son, Brian Bailey; brothers, Jimmy Lee Bailey, Johnny Bailey, and Jimmy Deal Pleasant.

He is survived by daughter Tina Ramey and 'Chuck' Lewallen of Springdale, Arkansas; two sons, David Ramey of Springdale, Arkansas, George Jr. Bailey of West Memphis, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brandon Parker of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Christopher Parker of Springdale, Arkansas, Mia Ramey of Springdale, Arkansas, Marcus Bailey of Little Rock, Arkansas; brothers, B.B. Bailey of Little Rock, Arkansas, Walter Bailey and his wife Rose, of El Dorado, Arkansas, Emmitt Carroll of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, Juanita Bell of Bakersfield, California, Sadie Lee Hardy of Lemon Grove, California, Girlene Taylor of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mae Liza Bailey of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many other friends, family, and loved ones.

George had an easy-going spirit and he made many deep connections. His presence will be deeply missed by those that knew him.
