Frank Daniel Hefley, 75, of Springdale, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord June 26, 2021 in Springdale, Arkansas after a lenghtly illness.  He was born July 28, 1945 in Hartford, Arkansas, the son of the late Paul Revere and Alice Mayzelle McBee Hefley.  His early years were spent in Arkansas and then the family moved to San Diego, California in the early 1950's.  He graduated from Kearney High School in San Diego, California in June 1963.  He then enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Merced Air Force Base working on B52's.  After his discharge from the Air Force, he worked in cabinet making and as a film technician for MGM in Los Angeles.  He wanted to live in the country and went back to cabinet making while living in Ramona, California.  Eventually the family moved to Springdale, Arkansas in 1978 and he was self-employed until his retirement due to the onset of illness in 2006.  He had a great love for his family and friends and enjoyed fishing on Beaver Lake.  He also took up cooking and became an excellent cook and enjoyed planning and cooking for family celebrations.  Raising a garden and working on projects around the house kept him busy in his spare time.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by a brother, Donald Hefley, and a sister, Cathy Hartman.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ferguson Hefley, of the home, who he met on a blind date on April 1, 1966 and they were married on October 29, 1966; one daughter, Michelle Ann Hefley Steele and her husband, Jeffrey; one brother, Paul Hefley; one sister, Shirley Creek and her husband, William; and two granddaughters: Sydney Steele West and her husband, Noah, and Ashlin Steele.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Reverend Guy Durkee officiating. Memorials may be made to Northwest Arkansas Children's Hospital or St. Judes.
