Edward "Eddie" Smith, 69 of Hindsville died Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Springdale. He was born December 7, 1947 in Blackwell, OK the son of Robert Smith and Norma Curtis.

He was a carpet installer for several years and married the former Karen Kirk on September 10, 1977 in Springdale, AR. He was a devout Christian and father who loved to play the guitar and sing. He also loved to camp and being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Charlie Smith and Debra Reed.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Karen Smith of the home, children, JoAnna McGarrah of Hindsville, AR, April Barksdale of Witter, AR, Joseph Smith of Rogers, AR, Cristal Avalos of Siloam Springs, AR, Rosie Avalos of Siloam Springs, AR, Oscar Smith of Hindsville, AR, Caleb Smith of Lowell, AR, Sarah Smith of Augusta, GA, Robert Kratch of Lowell, AR, Sondra Smith of Hindsville, AR, Rayvyn Kratch of Hindsville, AR; Siblings, Roberta Smith, Richard Smith, Georgia Clayborn, Cecelia Smith and 11 Grandchildren.

Family is planning a private memorial service at a later date.
