Donald "Don" John Horton, 60 went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born February 17, 1958 at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake, Washington the son of Orbedean and Genieve Thibodeaux Horton. Don severed his country in the US Marines and was preceded in death by his parents. He was a twelve-time Golden Glove Boxer in four states including Camp Pennington with the Marine Corp. He was employed as a nurse at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas for 17 years. He also worked at many assisted living facilities in the area

Survivors include a son, Jeremy Dewain Horton and his wife, Sarah of Bethel Heights, Arkansas; daughters, Jenny Horton of Lowell, Arkansas, Taylor Horton of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Jake Horton, Jesse Horton and his wife, Jody, Larry Horton and his wife, Martha; sister, Angie Adams and her husband, Jason; six grandchildren and lifelong friends, Jeff and Diane Cramer of Fayetteville.

A memorial service will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, AR with Pastor Reggie James officiating. The family requests that memorials in his name be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Springdale Animal Shelter.
