IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne Magin
Howard
March 27, 1942 – January 4, 2023
Dianne Magin Howard, 80, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away January 04, 2023. Dianne, also lovingly referred to as Annie, Dinah, Magin, Mom, DiDi was born on March 27, 1942 in Little Rock to Rudolph Maxwell Magin and Helen Bennett Magin. After graduating from Central High School, she worked at St. Vincent Infirmary and Children's Hospital as an X-ray technician. She later became a registered radiation therapist and joined CARTI in 1976 where she treated cancer patients for thirty-two years. On December 1, 1963 she married the love of her life, Larry Cassell Howard and they had two children, Brent and Michelle.
Undoubtedly, the earth will spin a little slower now that this beautiful source of unending energy has left us. Dianne was an only child and the apple of her father's eye. She was a jazz, tap and modern dancer as well as a cheerleader. She knew the words to every song on the radio and sang aloud with the windows down. Her strongest passion though was her family to whom she showed true selfless love and encouraged the enjoyment of life - along with a tabletop lesson of how to do the Macarena in a Florida restaurant. There was absolutely no stopping this woman from doing whatever she wanted to do and that, without fail, was something for others; seldom for herself.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Larry. She is survived by her son, Brent Howard, his children Blyth and Harrison, her daughter, Michelle Young, son-in-law, Barry Young and their children, Caleb and Noah, extended family members and many beloved friends.
A celebration of her life will be Sunday, January 29th in Little Rock at the CARTI Cancer Center, 8901 Carti Way from 2:00-4:00. In lieu of flowers, please simply remember her and share with others one of the countless stories of her life well lived.
