Dennis "Shug" Moore, 68, fell asleep on June 4, 2023 while watching fishing shows on television and waiting on Sunday supper with family and didn't wake up.  Born to Dennis and Jennie Moore on December 26, 1954 in Tacoma, Washington, Dennis graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1975, joined the Air Force, and later worked at and retired from Fayetteville's VA Medical Center after more than 35 years of work.

Dennis loved to fish, but his most favorite thing was anything with and for his grandchildren, Caylie, Josie, and Casey.  In addition to his grandchildren, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Vikki Apperson; stepson Cody (Laura) Apperson of Fayetteville, AR; and Laura's sister and his friend, Sara King, of Fayetteville, AR.  Dennis is also survived by his two sons, Dana Williams and Jeremy Moore; one daughter, Krystal Fields, and his sister, Brenda Morgan and her children: Rusty Boyd, Chris Morgan, and Karena Morgan.  There are numerous other family members, too many to mention.

His medical problems were many, but he had a good final day.  He was truly loved and will be missed.  A memorial service will be Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1:30 pm at National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
