Darren Ray Smith, 53, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away August 21, 2021 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He was born July 18, 1968, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Johnny Smith and Janie Bradley Smith.  He was a data collector for the Arkansas Highway Department.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking naps and spending time with his family.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberlee Phillips Smith, of the home; his father, Johnny Smith and wife, Patsy, of Morrow, Arkansas; his mother, Janie Disney and husband, Randy, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two daughters: Skylar Braswell and husband, Colton, of Springdale, Arkansas and Gabriella Smith of the home; one sister: Melissa Hoffman and husband, Glen, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two brothers: Jason Smith of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Randy Smith and wife, Shubhra, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Pastor Brad Sugg and Reverend Clark Snow officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
