IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clyde Olen
Stamps
June 9, 1943 – April 25, 2025
Clyde Olen Stamps, 81-year-old, resident of Hindsville, Arkansas, passed away on April 25th, 2025 at home. He was born June 9, 1943 to the late Freeman and Estelle Stamps in Kingston, Arkansas. From a young age, Clyde was no stranger to hard work—starting with Tyson Feeds at just 13 years old. He later dedicated over 30 years to Ralston Feed, which became Cargill, earning the respect of all who worked alongside him. In 1961, Clyde met the love of his life, Ellen. Just six months later, they were married, beginning a life together that would be rooted in love, hard work, and family. They raised three children and created a close-knit, loving home. On July 4, 1972, they moved onto their family farm, where Clyde's true passion came to life. Sundays, the family would take the day off and go camping and fishing, sometimes just out for a picnic. His family fondly remembers him showing off by riding his bike around backwards. Clyde loved having a good time, some would say his humor was a bit dark at times, but he was always making people laugh and smile. He enjoyed pranking his kids, but despite his mischief, he had endless patience and was a steady, guiding presence in his family's life, always teaching and always supporting. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma Underdown, Maxine Murphy, Vernon "Moose" Stamps, and Fred Stamps.
