Clyde Eugene Jackson, Sr., 86, of Springdale, Arkansas went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on July 10, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He was devoted to God and always put his family first.  He was born December 20, 1937 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania the son of Eugene Jackson and Geraldine Coolbaugh.  He served in the United States Navy from 1955 until 1958 as a radio operator on the USS Des Moines.  He was a painting contractor for 60 years, gaining a loyal customer following.  He is preceded by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Jackson; his parents; one sister, Jane; and one brother, Gaylord.

He is survived by one son, Clyde Jackson, Jr. and wife, Suzanne of Fayetteville, Arkansas; four daughters: Sharon Gunter and husband, Everett of Kansas, Oklahoma; Elizabeth Ardemagni and husband, Byron of Garfield Arkansas; Terry Taylor and husband, Tim of Springdale, Arkansas; Susan Cleveland and husband, Andy of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one brother, Mike Jackson of Sayre, Pennsylvania; and one sister, Dawn Maue and husband, Bruce, of Sayre, Pennsylvania.  He also has twelve grandchildren: Tiffany Hooley, Britney Wilson, Jody Ramsey, Jacob Gunter, Tabatha Douthit, Jeffrey Sauls, Jason Ardemagni, Melinda Summery, Kristopher Stidham, Blake Stidham, Ana Smelly and Zack Guillams; and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be July 16, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Pastor Terry Hatfield officiating.  Private burial with military honors will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
