Cecelia Ann (Spicer) Gough, 84, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born November 13, 1938 in Republic, Washington, the daughter of the late William Ralph and Ernestine Caroline Gendron Spicer. She graduated valedictorian in the class of 1956 and enlisted in the Air Force shortly thereafter. She received her degree in nursing from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, later enrolling in Westark Arkansas Tech's co-op nursing program to complete her Bachelor's Degree. She spent the majority of her career in the Labor and Delivery department at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where the family relocated upon retirement in 1979. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by one grandson, Martin James Perdue.
She is survived by her spouse of over 62 years, Msgt. Fred A. Gough, USAF retired; her children, Laura Gough Perdue (Mark) and Michael Gough (Lori); siblings, Wilma Schriver (Paul David) and David Spicer (Geraldine); grandsons, Justin Perdue and Tyler DeWitt (Mandy); four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Per her request, there will be no visitation. She will be interred in the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas at 11:30 A.M. on April 26, 2023. Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
