IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Catherine Louise
Bullard
April 12, 1934 – January 2, 2025
Catherine Louise Bullard, 90-year-old resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on January 2nd, 2025. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 12th, 1934, to the late William and Mildred Godwin. Known to many as "Cathy," she lived a humble and unassuming life. Cathy received her education through the seventh grade and found purpose in her work as a factory worker and later as a server. A quiet and introspective soul, she often preferred the solace of her own thoughts and the comfort of her faith. In her earlier years, Cathy's connection to Christianity was one of tradition rather than conviction. However, in the 1980s, she underwent a profound spiritual transformation, reigniting her relationship with God. This marked a turning point in her life, as she was rebaptized and committed herself wholeheartedly to her faith. She spent hours studying the word of the lord. Over the years, her relationship was nurtured, and it became her mission to see all of her loved ones come to Christ. She would pray for every member of her family, continuing this practice until her final days.
Cathy was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Godwin, William "Bill" Prescott Godwin, Georgia Elizabeth "Liz" Teller, Mattie Cora Oppewall, Mable Lee Taylor, John Dougal Godwin, Ernest Edward Godwin, Charles Alexander Godwin; granddaughter, Michelle Thomas; great-grandson, Michael Wilson; niece, Barbara Mayo; and nephew, David Brinkley.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathi Martin; son, Herb Baker; granddaughters, Misti Taylor, and her husband, Adam, Candi Eskew, and her husband Chad; great-grandchildren, Katie Keown, and her husband, Kevin, Mekenna Taylor, Myia Taylor, Maddey Taylor, Cora Eskew; great-great-grandsons, Fisher Keown, Kane Keown; and many other family friends, and loved ones.
Cathy's faith and quiet strength left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Though she may have been reserved, her impact was profound, demonstrating the power of humility, resilience, and unwavering belief.
