IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn
Chicoski
May 10, 1941 – April 20, 2025
Carol Chicoski of Springdale, Arkansas passed away April 20, 2025. She was born May 10, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma to the late Jess and Opal Massengale. Carol's earliest memories were filled with the sweet sound of her mother singing hymns in the kitchen—songs that would come to shape her own love for music and faith. She found her greatest joy in the simple moments: being surrounded by family, sharing laughter, and lifting her voice in song during church services. Carol's happiest times were when the people around her were smiling—nothing meant more to her than the happiness of those she loved. Carol's favorite song was "In The Garden". Carol loved Italian food. Carol's favorite flower was yellow roses. Her favorite saying was "If you want anything done right, do it yourself". She loved being in the Senior Choir at her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Opal Massengale; son, Randall Chicoski; siblings, Sharon Farris and her son, Greg Farris, Edward Massengale Baney and his wife, Anna, Bobby Massengale and his wife, Sue; and grandparents, Robert Cornell, Martha Tallent Cornell, James Massengale, and Cordia Hancock Massengale.
Carol is survived by daughter, Rebecca Minor and husband, Jim of Benton, Arkansas; adopted daughter, Lisa Jackson of Oceanside, California; grandchildren, Thomas Minor and his wife, Kara, of Benton, Arkansas, Samuel Minor of Benton, Arkansas; great-grandchild, Jade Minor; and many friends, family, and loved ones.
