Carol Lynn Sams, 45, of Lincoln, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord March 13, 2022. She was born January 20, 1977 in Killeen, Texas, the daughter of Marvin and Judith Hernes Janas. Carol had served in the United States Navy and also the United States Army. She had attended the House of God Church in Alabam, Arkansas. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, shopping and playing softball, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Carol is survived by her husband Larry Sams of the home; children; Andrew Brumley (Kelsie) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Rickie Sams of Lincoln Arkansas, Chelsea Ellison (Will) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her father, Marvin Janas of Farmington, Arkansas; brother, Rob Janas (Bonnie) of Shiloh, Illinois; sisters, Ann Haile (Bruce) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Lisa Strouts (Matt) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Noah Brumley, Maverick Brumley and Feay Harwood.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:30 P.M., Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with Pastor Chris Fryar officiating, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
