IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy Arthur
Webb
October 20, 1939 – March 11, 2020
Billy Arthur Webb, age 80, peacefully passed from his earthly life on March 11, 2020 in Springdale, Arkansas. Billy was born on October 20, 1939, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, the son of Willie and Inez Webb. Billy was a loyal friend, a dedicated father and an adoring grandfather who relished spending time with family. His most natural role was provider and patriarch, through which he instilled his faith, values and work ethic in his family. A near-lifelong Arkadelphia resident, Billy graduated from Arkadelphia High in 1958. He enlisted in the United States Army after high school and spent four years in service to his country— including time abroad in Italy, which he remembered with fondness. After returning stateside, he began working in various retail establishments in Little Rock and in Arkadelphia. He later worked for the Farmer's Co-operative, as well as for Reynold's Aluminum and Carter Chevrolet. Weekends found him mowing lawns, odd jobbing, and cheering on his children in their athletic pursuits. His two children, Loree and Chris, were the great pride of his life with former wife, Sandy (Webb) Wong. A social hub, their home was often open to friends. Billy enjoyed boating and camping with his family. In later years, he made memories hunting and fishing with close family and friends. Recent involvement in his Tuesday "Grandad's Devo" bible study group brought him great peace. Billy will be missed by that group of friends at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, and even more by his family. Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Webb; his father, Willie Webb; his sisters Hankey Gwin and Patsy Webb; and his brothers Eddie Webb and Tommy Webb.
He is survived by one sister, Linda Harris (and Frank) of Roland, Arkansas; his daughter, Loree Webb of Benton; his son, Chris Webb (and Julie) of Springdale; two grandsons, Taylor Patterson and Luke Webb; and three granddaughters, Cassandra Webb, Whitlee Patterson, and McCarley Perkins. He was affectionately known as "Poppa" by his five beloved grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 16, at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia with Brother Pat Mannon, officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
